i have a m-audio keystation 49 e. its a piece of crap i cant get it to do anything when i plug it in my usb.?

the lights come on and every thing but it just wont do anything ive tried downloading drivers but its not helping. so who wants to help me?

What is it that you want it to do? Just to make sure, you know that it is a MIDI controller and doesn’t make any sound right? MIDI is not sound, so that keyboard only sends information. You need software that reads the MIDI information and turns it into sound in order to hear anything. To be certain that it is or isn’t working, download MIDI-Ox:

Just to let you know this is a program that will tell you if your computer is receiving MIDI messages from the keyboard. When you open MIDI-Ox after installing it, go to Options>Midi Devices… and then highlight your Midi Keyboard and click OK. Now play some notes on the keyboard. If you are seeing lots of green lines saying “note on” and “note off” then it’s working. Just keep in mind that is the only thing that a Midi Controller is supposed to do. Cheers
